COLT R6830 7.62x39 Pre-Ban UNFIRED AR15 AK47 SKS . Sporter Lightweight 7.62 x 39 mm Carbine Semi-Automatic Rifle.

I especially like this comment in the description:

Not my cup of tea, but interesting Colt version in 7.62 X 39 mm.

Re: Anyone here have a DPMS??

I recently purchased a LR-308B ...the one with the bull barrel. Haven't shot it yet, but I will have a range report after next week.

The rifle is built really well. I have kitted mine out with the larue tacticle BU Iron Sights, spare parts kit, and extra mags and am about to purchase a SuperSniper brand scope.

From what I've read, the supersniper can't be beat for the price it is sold as. I'd like to have the ACOG, but if I can get something for half the price and a quality item, I'll take it.

Coupled with the DPMS 308, it should be a BEAST:D

I have an AP4 LR308 with DPMS quad rail. I wanted a short to long range heavy hitter and this will do fine. Haven't yet broken it in but I've read alot of good things about them. Very accurate rifles they say. Not sure yet what optics to install.

I was planning on buying a Noveske upper for my .308 SASS build, but after a ton of research I've decided on the DPMS. I've got a DPMS AR-15 upper, and the workmanship is very nice, and with a 16 inch barrel it's pretty accurate, but the better the ammo the better the results.

If you go with the DPMS in a .308 don't go shorter than 18 inches, and see if when you order it you can get a nice magpul buttstock.

Bottomline, DPMS makes a great product at a decent price.

I used a DPMS stripped lower receiver in my M4orgery build but all of my other parts are Double Star. I've had no problems with my rifle at all. Total cost for my build was about $675.00. It may be more than that now. I think I did my build around a year ago.
